After the last Influenza A (H1N1) talk Jimbo gave last month, Jimbo’s boss thought it might be a good idea for Jimbo to give a similar talk to the people in IMU Bukit Jalil! The talk was well received and some one commented that Jimbo ‘almost’ got a standing ovation. ‘Almost’ because people who have no place to sit and are clapping at the end of the talk don’t really qualify as a ‘standing ovation’! :)

And so, today, at 1300 hours, Jimbo will kinda rehash what he spoke on the other day.

A few things have changed since then, namely:

1. Malaysia now has 7 cases
2. Singapore now has 12 cases (darn! We always lose to them!)
3. Australia has now been declared the’Influenza A (H1N1) capital of the world because of the rapid and extensive outbreak there, especially in Victoria, with cases surpassing 1000 in just less than 3 weeks!)
4. Scientist now call the virus a ‘quadruple reassortant’ virus
5. Viral strains have now been sent to vaccine manufacturers for vaccine production
6. The first vaccine is expected some time in the 3rd quarter of this year
7. Swine Flu Parties have become a social phenomena in USA!
8. The world now has more than 25,000 cases but mortality rate is still < 1%
9. Elderly people above 64 years are found to be relatively less susceptible to the complications of  H1N1
10. Kris Allen won the 8th season of American Idol
11. Susan Boyle lost in the final and suffered a physical breakdown
12. We now have 2 speakers and 2 MBs in Perak
13. The Jusco sale has started….

Wait, wait, going out of topic here. Heh heh….
