Personally I feel that the annual family camps organised by my church is an all-in-one-package. This year was no different. We held the camp over the weekend at the Methodist Centre in Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan. The theme of the camp was “Being a Redemptive Community”.
Why the all-in-one-package tag? Let me illustrate it here:

This is a panaromic view of the field in front of our camp site. This will be the last time we can use the facilities as there are plans to demolish the place and build an ultra-modern facility in its place.
An all-in-one-package will include:
Great Food!!!
The bell that beckons everyone for meals!
Peanuts for delicious nasi lemak!
And lovely home-cooked food.
Fun and Exercise!!!
I finally started jogging, and in style too, ala Baywatch, running topless on the beach (sorry no pics ya, not for the faint hearted!). And we had fun on the beach.
Guys and lasses on a banana-boat. That’s me canoeing in the distance with a buddy.
The last time I canoed was in 1983! Glad to say I’ve not lost my touch.
Great Fellowship!!
And Food for the Soul, of course.
And plenty of rest.
I think Sherman summed up the camp experience best when he said:
“I thank God for the REST and THE rest!”
Mon, 110607 @ 1142; what a bummer, school holidays are over! Ugh!
