Channel 8TV aired the final episode of ‘What Women Want’, a reality TV show where a bunch of guys had to undergo a series of challenges week after week and being eliminated one by one by a team of 3 ladies.
I don’t watch the series regularly, and it’s not surprising that I can’t even remember the name of the guy who came in 2nd. All I remember is that he was white, and he won almost all the challenges week after week but at the most crucial moment, he lost it and succumbed to his emotions, giving some lame excuse that he has been emotionally wrecked by a certain ’some one’ not related to the show and therefore was unable to perform at his best.
The winner was Hafiz (sorry guys/gals, I can’t seem to google a decent pic of the show) who by profession is a hair dresser. He lost 5.5 kg in the series and was seen on numerous times to walk out of a challenge and broke down and cried a number of times. Awww…
What really caught my attention was the ‘debate’ before the judges made the final decision. Apparently they picked Hafiz over the other guy because “he was caring to the ladies as well as his fellow contestants; he finally managed to control his emotions at the crucial moment; he was able to make the ladies happy and laugh; he listened and understood their inner feelings; he gave the other contestants hair cuts; he truly understands what a woman feels…blah blah blah”.
The other guy (poor fella) lost on all accounts. He could only mumble “Actually I only want to be what ONE woman want”. Sigh, that didn’t stick.
And so, after the show, I had a chat with my wife and I have come to the conclusion (and she agree) that what women really want is…
….Another Woman. Sigh.

jimbo, neck hurts like hell? go take a MC lah!
Thanks Yenjai, for the life of me I could not remember Charles’ name! I could only remember his goofy face with the bugs bunny teeth and stuttering English!
Hmm, maybe that’s why he lost? More brawn, little substance?
By the way, the 2nd place is Charles
Haha.
The problem is not only with woman
The problem is with the whole notion of ‘human’
How many of us really knows what we really want?
How many of us, by the time we had our andropause / menopause, only to realise that we had been chasing the wrong thing in our life?
