Exam Week

This is the week where school children in Malaysia will be sitting for their annual exam and my  daughter will be sitting for her first annual exam. Yesterday she mentioned that one of her class mates’ mum will scold her class mate if she does not do well in the exam. She then asked her mum timidly whether she will be scolded if she does not do well.

My wife’s answer was wise. She will only scold if the mistakes were careless ones. Her daddy would have said ‘No I won’t scold”.

We just want her to do her best and watch out for careless mistakes but at the same time teach her that being number 1 is not the ultimate goal. I hope the message got through.

I prayed for you today Darlene, now go in the peace of the Lord and make us proud!
