Rachel from Maxis Centre, I thank you

25 hours after some oriental bimbo from Maxis messed up my 3G account, and 5 calls to the centre to seek help, Rachel (the sixth person to answer my distress call) finally sorted things out for me as she promised to.

Rachel, I thank you profusely and I hope your bosses in Maxis read this and give you a massive salary hike (and sack the rest of them, especially the oriental bimbo!).

Happy weekend everyone!

A conversation with Ah Beng

This phone conversation happened yesterday, after my 3G service was disrupted and I called the Maxis centre.

Ah Beng (AB): Harrow, how can I hetch you?

Me: Ya, I am Mr so-and-so, and I can’t seem to get online with my handphone.

AB: I see (this guy just loves this phrase)….. may I know your numbar prease?

Me: It’s 012-xxxxxxxx

AB: Thank you. Hang on a moment ah (after which I was subjected to 4 min of elevator music and Maxis propaganda)

AB:  Thank you for holding ha. My system ah say everything ok what.

Me: It’s not ok. I could go online earlier and now I can’t.

AB: I see…. may I know where u calling ah?

Me: Hello? Hello? hello?  Are you there? (as I snapped him back to earth)

AB: Like that ah, I tell you what la. I send you ah the confeegoolation again ok? Then ah when you get it ha, you save it ho. And the PIN numbar is 0123. Then ho, you off the phone a while, ok. Me: (by this time, I have patients waiting to be seen and my blood was boiling, BP about 180/160 mmHg, pulse 156/min, Respiratory rate 45/min…) Ok la, ok la. Bye.

AB: Thank you for calling Maxis Mr so-and-so. I hope we managed to solve your problem (hah, you think?). Is there anything else I can help you with?  No? Ok, thank you again and have a nice day. (I suspect he was reading from a script or prompter or something…why the England suddenly so good one????).

11 hours 35 minutes later, still nothing happened. So I called them again, but that’s another story. Sigh.

Friday end

It’s the end of the day and my adrenals are just about fried. It’s been a day of high tension stress.

Stress from work and stress from my telco (which was the object of my angst ridden story that never got uploaded) and stress from fellow colleagues. Sigh!

My 3G is down (again). An oriental bimbo who manned (or is it womanned) the Maxis centre yesterday messed up my account royally resulting in my 3G being disabled, my internet access disconnected and me calling them repeatedly (6 times at the last count) to get things fixed, which resulted in me/my notebook/my new virginal handphone being blamed for the fault……..AAARGH!!!! It’s still not working.

And so, I am internet-less, and that’s tragic. Sigh. :-(

The weather is horrible….it’s so hazy outside I can’t see more than 1 km away. Should I leave now and brave the hungry throng (I mean, people are rushing home to buka puasa) or should I brave another hungry throng and go the opposite way and swim (is the pool even open?) or should I just stay put here and wait till, oh, maybe 10 pm before going home? Decisions, decisions….. sigh.

I gotta do rounds tomorrow, so it means no going home to Seremban. You can see how tragic that is? Stuck in KL without internet! Ugh!

Okie, I gotta go sit on the ‘throne’ and maybe figure out what I will do next.

My super ex girlfriend

It’s been a while since I last wrote any review ofa movie. Over the weekend we managed to catch this movie on DVD. It’s a really light (as in brainless) comedy, not particularly suitable for kids. I bet it will take my daughter at least a few more years before she understand why in a couple of scenes, the woman is on top of the man and pushing vigorously away. She did ask us a few times and we just said we don’t know either. :-P

There was, however, only one scene with nudity (which is a rare thing nowadays in movies) where Luke Wilson’s character got stripped rather speedily by the now enraged super ex-girlfriend revealing his hinny in all it’s glory. We didn’t cover our kids’ eyes fast enough.

My son totally enjoyed watching one and later 2 anorexic ladies zooming to and fro in the sky. He also obviously enjoyed the total carnage. A super ex-girlfriend can really do a lot of damage.

My verdict? Maybe 5/10. Still, the fun is watching it with the family. That’s priceless. :-)

Lovely flowers for a lovely lady

img_3299.JPGimg_3301.JPGimg_3303.JPG

Got these lovely flowers for my wifey for her birthday recently. I had initially wanted to buy her white lilies but they cost RM 10 each! The flower girl said it’s because they were imported flowers. Roses were out as they generally don’t last long. And then I spied these flowers. Aren’t they lovely? And 5 stalks fit snugly into our crystal vase.

Problem is, I don’t know what they are called. The flower girl mumbled something about ‘G-grass’ or was it ‘Gem-grass’ or was it ‘Green Grass’. I don’t know. Anyone out there who is botanically inclined and can help me in identifying the flower?

Anyhow, my wife loved it and so do I. Flowers can brighten up the whole place and not to mention one’s mood too! :-)

Angst

I lost two angst-ridden story I wrote yesterday because they didn’t get uploaded to wordpress. No thanks to the really bad 3G internet service by my telco provider. I wonder if 3G stood for ‘Go Granny Go’.

Anyway, writing the 2 pieces were immensely therapeutic for me. Pent up steam was released and peace returned some what.

Much of it was work related, so perhaps it was divine intervention again that the stories didn’t get uploaded. :-)

Just checked my bank account! Whoopee! The pay is in! And we are saved from starvation again! :-)
