I have a little spring in my walk today. Tomorrow I am on leave! Hallelujah! It’s been a while since I last went on leave and I so need a break. Will be driving home after work today. I am really looking forward to seeing my family after such a long time. And tomorrow we will all take a trip to Aquaria KLCC for a visit. Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy….!

But first there is the Grand Round today. Sigh. The reason they call it the ‘grand round’ is because it is so grand that at the end of it (if it ever ends), getting leg cramps, ischemic congestive ulcers of the legs, heart failure, acute fatigue syndrome, hypoglycemia, varicose veins on the legs, cellulite on the thighs, low blood pressure, giddiness, hemorrhoids, post-traumatic stress disorder and all other unmentionable unpleasant symptoms, are almost a guarantee.

Check list for attending the Grand Round: Enough sleep (oops, I don’t have that), good breakfast downed with a ‘kopi kaw kaw’ (extra thick strong coffee), sling bag containing water, sweets, light snacks, packet drinks; tiger balm/minyak cap kapak/gamat oil in case of ‘giddiness’; koyok patches for just about any part of the anatomy; extra lather of SK-II for the thighs (for the cellulites ma), 2 Pharmaton capsules (the recommended dose is once a day but these are desperate times), hypertension and heart failure medications, and loads and loads of prayer! Oh ya, and a tube of SPF 50+ sunblock, in case boss wants to walk out to the nearby mamak store for lunch after the rounds.
